Catena Zapata Winery

Founded in 1902, Bodega Catena Zapata is one of Argentina's most historic and renowned wineries, considered a pioneer in the valorization of Malbec and high-altitude viticulture. Located in the province of Mendoza, at the foot of the majestic Andes mountain range, the winery is famous for having rewritten the history of Argentine wine in the world.

Thanks to the vision of Nicolás Catena Zapata , the winery has invested in vineyards grown at altitudes above 1,000 metres, where the cool climate and the strong temperature range between day and night allow for the production of grapes with extraordinary aromatic concentration and natural acidity.

Bodega Catena Zapata’s Malbecs are characterized by their complexity and finesse: on the nose they express intense aromas of ripe red fruits, blackberries, plums and delicate floral hints of violet, accompanied by light spicy notes and vanilla. On the palate they are full-bodied, elegant and harmonious, with velvety tannins and a long and persistent finish.

Considered one of the best wineries in the New World, Catena Zapata continues to receive important international recognition and is today an essential point of reference for lovers of quality Argentine wine.
